Pamela Wells is an artist from California, working interntationally, now based in England and Poland. Using a wide range of materials - everything from paint to clay to polythene - she initiates artist-led projects as well as working with galleries and organisations internationally.

Whether making objects, installations or performances, her methodology includes engaging with strangers, siting work in unusual places and the use of everyday materials. She often invites people to participate in or contribute to her processes in oblique ways, seeking platforms for meaningful interaction.

Responding to sites and places and relationships, her work takes many forms but her practice remains a fulcrum for investigations regarding the function of art and the roles of the artist.
