Pamela Wells is from California, lived in England for over a decade, developed and delivered projects across Europe, and is now based in Poland.

Her work incorporates a wide range of materials - everything from paint to clay to polythene. Whether making objects, installations or performances, her methodology includes engaging with strangers, siting work in unusual places and the use of commonplace materials. She often invites people to participate in or contribute to her processes in oblique ways, seeking platforms for meaningful interaction.

Responding to sites and places and relationships, her work takes many forms but her practice has functioned a fulcrum for investigations regarding the everyday position of art and the roles of the artist.
